Paypal Withdrawal to Local Bank Accounts

I’ve checked my credits on a local bank today and I got my funds transfer completed successfully. I’ve added local bank accounts both Bank Negara Indonesia and Bank Central Asia as my primary bank account. I’ve read somewhere on the web that the withdrawal process to BNI will take longer than to BCA, so I decided to withdraw my funds to BCA.

The withdrawal process from Paypal to BCA takes 2 business days (I requested the transfer on June 29) and the funds is transferred today. Of course, the currency was converted from US Dollar (USD) to Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) and the cost was IDR 16,000.

Anyway, I’m still waiting for the next payment until the end of this month from Blogsvertise. Not too much, but I’m very happy to get paid

*250#: Telkomsel Tracking System

I’ve been testing the new feature offered by my operator. This tracking service is similar to Global Positioning System (GPS), but it’s easier to use and cheaper of course. All subscribers can use this service without the need to replace their mobile device.

A usual tracking system such as GPS usually requires high end devices. I guess you’ll have to spend about $300 to buy a cell phone with a built-in GPS. The cost will be greatly reduced by an SMS based tracking system which is supported by every mobile devices.

File Permissions Update

There was a recent update from my web hosting service and I should change the name servers to all of my hosted sites including this blog.

A common problem updating name server is our website may disappear for certain period of time. It will usually takes about 24 hours to fully updated.

I was able to access another sites of mine, but not for this blog and I found that I should make some changes to the file permission settings

Products Wiki: Guidance to Shop

Shoppers usually consider buying products by doing some research before purchasing it. It doesn’t matter what kind of products the shopper is looking for. It’s important to search as many information about the product. The shopper needs to know the details of the product including its images/screen shot, specification and its features.

In a traditional shopping system, a shopper will have a limited choice to pick up available products; means that the shopper is limited to purchase products from a certain sites only, thus making it a little bit difficult to decide what best products to buy.

The shopper needs a guide to pick up products they wanted. Fortunately, there is a wiki to help the shopper digging details information about what best product to buy and where to take them. For example, if the shopper is looking for lamps, then available product categories will be displayed. If the shopper wants information about low voltage halogen lamps, which is suitable for highlighting anything for displays, then the wiki will shows the type of the products. For a bright light, the shopper might want a desk lamp. There’s a little technical tutorial about the products such as its wattage, voltage, brightness, etc.

The consumer will have more products for sale on the web including its wiki article, so it’s easier to decide what best products to buy. Happy shopping

Wp-Admin Problems on Wordpress 2.8

I have upgraded this blog into wordpress 2.8 using automatic upgrade feature. I got no problems at first and I could log in successfully as usual. There was a notification that I’ve successfully upgraded to the latest version of Wordpress.

I tried to log in again this afternoon and I was experiencing a fatal error on my blog. I could not access the wp-admin page everytime I tried to open the url (/wp-admin), it would take me to the error 404 page.

I noticed that appearly there were some serious bugs on upgrading wordpress 2.8 automatically. People should read this trick before trying to have their wordpress upgraded, since there’s no ‘roll back to previous version’ feature on wordpress yet.
