Get Focused in 3 Months Blogging

I have registered this blog to a review broker and then approved in 3 days. This blog has been exists for 4 months and is now qualified for the minimum requirements to join a review broker. I need at least 3 months to make a blog’s content unique or focused on a certain categories although there might be could make it in a few days only.

Although Alexa’s traffic is not an absolute rank, because some people said that it’s not valid, but it’s still one of the requirements that need to make a blog being approved. This blog is not in a good alexa’s rank yet, as you can see on the badge, it’s still has a huge number larger than 2 million. But I would like to keep the alexa’s badge so I can see this blog’s traffic improvement.

Build your own brand

Online branding starts when you get return visitors to your website. It is all about building an image for your product apart from good old advertising. Professional branding can accomplish impossible tasks, like selling a product for ten or even twenty times its actual worth.

Here are some tips on building your own brand online:

  • Take time to learn from your competitors. Have a look at their websites and logos. See their online marketing strategy and learn. You can add some of your own ideas, provided it gets you the results. But I would prefer to use time tested formulas at least till I become an expert in Internet branding.
  • Name your business with a unique and interesting name that relates to your business goals.
  • Design an interesting but professional logo that can stay in the minds of people. Again, the logo should be in line with the nature of your organization. Remember a logo is the first thing, people would remember when they think about your company.
  • Start a website with the right and appropriate domain name that can reflect on your business.Suppose, if you are selling a range of shoes, then your domain name can be something like buyshoes.com or shoeshop.com, not something like xyz.com or eze.com
  • Think about a slogan for your product. It should be short and sweet. The slogan should tell the customers what your business is all about, but in a concise manner.

Use all means to promote your brand: It is all about advertising. Use textual ads, banners, links and whatever to ensure that people are aware of the existence of your business.

Although there are a number of ways to do branding, you need to find out what works best for your product. Happy branding!

Why Subscribing to Posts or Comments?

In this short post, I’d like to share why is it important to subscribe to any posts or comments that we have read before on others blog. Remember that feedback is everything and I love it.

Track Your Comments Records

By subscribing on our favorite blogs either comments or posts we can easily check the blog for latest content or posts that we should response to. So, we will not lose any updates on our favorite blog and we can write a response back as soon as possible.

Each time I left a comment on a blog or wrote a post in a forum, I would visit them back again to check if there is someone has responded my comments or posts. But I can’t count how many posts or comments that I have made and where were the place. So, I think that it’s a good idea to track this to help me check it later.

Lost Your Mind? How to Write Quickly

Sometime we don’t know what do we have to write in our blog if we lose our mind. I hope a few steps below may help you to write quickly.

Free up your mind

Our daily activities may affect the way we think. Too many problems we have along the day is stressful. Writing needs a comfortable and a good feeling. So, we have to enjoy our time when trying to write about something. We need to take enough rest, sleeping earlier at night if possible. I realize that this is not easy, because when we are already online, we’ll do several jobs at the same time such as chatting with your friends via IM while watching your favorite TV programs, even more we pick up the phone although we don’t know if it is an important call. These are common problems that can bother us to focus on what we want to write about.

Be Confident

To begin writing a post is not always fun. We often feel that what we want to write is not perfect for reading. Do not hesitate what you want to do next, just be your self. Write it with your own style even if the same subject is already written by others. You can tell it with your own language. This is the art of story telling that we should always take care of. » Continue reading….

Hiding Installed Plugins For Security Reason

Do you know that we can see the lists of what plugins have been installed in our wordpress blo? Visitors can see them all by accessing http://www.wpblogname.com/wp-content/plugins. There’s a nice tips I’ve just read and it’s very simple to implement.

Log in to your blog cpanel and upload a blank file named index.php or index.html into your plugins directory. The blank file may contain some code like this:

<?php

?>

Don’t forget to save the file as index.php or index.html. From now on, when someone try to access the URL above, they will see only a blank page, nothing will be displayed. This tip is for security reason only. So, people won’t see what plugins are installed.

There’s also a good idea to redirect it to our blog homepage, then the code will be like this:

<?php

header(”Location:http://www.wpblogname.com/”);

?>

If you want some more privacy, you can also upload this file into wp-content/themes and wp-content/uploads directory with the same results. I’ve found this in a few professional wordpress blogs. We can see the list of themes installed under the themes folder and a list of uploaded files under uploads folder. It’s not a good thing to show it to everyone, right.

That’s all.
