I was looking for multi-protocol internet messenger and I stumbled upon this website. Since I was new to Mac OS, then I downloaded the application and installed it on my Mac.

I used to making online chat with my friends using pidgin both in Windows and Linux, then I was looking for Mac OS version but I found Adium is more interesting. I don’t like the original YM which is made by Yahoo and I prefer the lightweight application instead, such as pidgin.

There’s also one good reason to use Adium if we have an account on Faceboook. Adium can also connect to Facebook, so we don’t need to chat with our friends over the heavy-load browser. Of course, we can’t login using Adium app and open Facebook on our browser at the same time.

The emoticon is slightly different, Adium has its own emoticons, but we can replace this default emoticon as we like.
