Dark VS Light Colors Scheme

There are many opinions about why they choose dark or light colors scheme. Dark color scheme is usually suitable for placing photographs or arts.
I didn’t know if there’s a medical problem for some people who read in a dark background. Some others also said that reading in a light color scheme could make us get tired earlier than in dark ones, especially reading long posts.
These are just opinions and I’m not sure about them. But in fact, many websites or blogs using light color schemes. So, what do you think about that?

If you already discussed about color scheme, I will be glad if you say the real about my website that also has dark color scheme. Check it fist and say what it should be, thank you
