How to Detect Invisible Friends at Yahoo Messenger
There’s a few web based application that you can use to detect invisible Yahoo Messenger users, but I’ve found Vizgin is interesting. However, it’s still in beta version when I was writing this post.
Vizgin
Just type your friend’s Yahoo ID and hit enter or click the search button and you’ll see whether the Yahoo ID that you’re checking is available, invisible, or offline.
We don’t need to register or log in into our Yahoo Messenger to use this application, but please take a look at the F.A.Q before hitting the button. They said that they will save the IDs, just to remind you for a privacy

Thanks for the suggestion, I have tried a few tools you’ve mentioned, but I was too lazy to review them all. You’re right, the protocol is a powerful toy, especially for a developer like you. I think I should learn more from you
