I’m currently playing around with a few web storage or what ever you name it. My internal hard disk is going to be limited on its capacity, there almost documents, applications, and some kinds of multimedia files that consuming almost of my space.

I have been trying a few services this week and I hope I could share them to all of you, I stumbled upon these two free online web storage that might interest you:

Sky Drive

This is an online storage provided for free by Microsoft and it’s awesome with its large capacity (up to 25 GB). We will be no longer frustrated from capacity limit to share files with friends and colleagues or even for our self.

    Windows Live SkyDrive

    Windows Live SkyDrive

To get started using this service, we must log in using our Windows live account or we can create a new one. A good news that we can use our existing email account (such as from Yahoo, Gmail, etc, if you have one) to be used as Windows live account.

But there’s one annoying me because we must use our browser to manage our files, I don’t know if there will be a special plug-in or application to make us easier to manage our files then, such as to upload files by simply drag and drop it.

Here’s the link to get started.

    Drop Box

      Integrated to Finder

      Integrated to Finder

I’ve been using this service since I’ve been installing it on my Mac. It’s light-weight, integrated with finder, so we can easily uploading files by dragging and dropping on it. Unfortunately, this free service is limited to 2 GB and of course we can upgrade our account with additional fees.

This application is available on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Here’s the link to get started.

Both of two services I’ve mentioned above is for testing only and I have not tested the features at all, but of course you can experience with it and enjoy it yourself and let me know if there’s other similar service that might be interesting to try.
