Have you checked how much is your blogs rate? I guess you have tried Business Opportunities Weblog that will check how much is your blogs worth, but sometimes the result is beyond we expect, although it’s calculated based on Technorati’s API.

There’s another similar service that you can use to calculate your blogs rate. I’m not sure but I think this site is still new, you can see the text in the footer shows © 2008. It uses the following combination of formulas to get your blogs rate based on:

  • Domain Age
  • Page Rank Check
  • Inbound Links
  • Traffic Rank
  • Site Value Report

Enter Your Blogs URL
To get you started, enter the URL of the website that you want to check for its rate, then hit the “Submit Button” as shown in the screen shot:

Domain Age
Once you have entered the URL, it’s going to show you the time the domain was created and calculates its age. As seen in the picture, the older the domain, the more it will be valuable for people and to the search engine of course. If you have an old domain and you keep maintaining it, then you’re the lucky one :)

Page Rank Check
This is based on Google page rank check. The value is between 0 to 10. The higher the value, the better the site is.

Inbound Links
Show the number of your blogs inbound link.

Traffic Rank
Traffic rank is calculated based on Alexa ranking. The lower the number, the higher the traffic is, although many people doubt about its accuracy.

Site Value Report
Gives you the estimated total value in US $.

Share Your Blogs Rate Widget
Finally, once you are happy with your blogs rate, you can certainly share it by adding a widget. You’ll need to copy a piece of code and and embed it to your blog.

Oh yeah, your blog will also be listed under “Recently URL Ratings” in the right sidebar and will be visible to other visitors.

At the leader boards page, you can see more criteria such as top ranked websites, recently ranked, most ranked on URL rate, most back inks, top Alexa rankings, and oldest domains.

I guess it’s useful if you concern about SEO and you want to monetize your blog, but if it doesn’t have an attractive rate yet, don’t be upset, probably you need some more times to optimize it. Just keep writing and be confident that you’ll get the better rates some day.

How about your blogs value? have you checked it today?
