Blogging is an exciting activity that makes this world colorful with blogs. Blog has become a powerful social media to interact with people. Having a blog is necessary but sometimes boringness approaches us. There’s one thing that could make us bored instead another, the blogging themes.

How often do we replace our blogs theme?

There many blog themes available to try, some people could also spend their money to buy a premium wordpress theme to suit their needs. All they want is a proper blog design to apply. It’s not difficult to replace the blog theme with just a few step of clicks and done.

Unfortunately, the same blog theme may have already been used by others. Blogging needs something unique including the themes itself. In this case there are three choices:

  • Keeping the blog theme
  • Applying new theme, or
  • Designing a custom theme

What are the reasons to keep this current theme applied, although it has been used by another blog?

  • We really love the theme and we don’t have a plan to replace it.
  • We don’t know how to build a custom theme.
  • We are too lazy or busy to do that :)

If the second statement is the answer, then it’s time to develop our custom wordpress themes. This is an advanced level of blogging experience, instead of just click and done J

Designing is a process. We may be failed to produce the design what we want at the beginning and the results will be better along with the time. I often can’t finish my design. Yup, I feel bored in the designing step.

Why I’m bored before I finish the design?

This is usually happening when I try to apply the theme elements. Colors combinations are the most important factor that makes me get bored early. So I find these tips:

  • Design the layout first
  • Choose the best fonts
  • Choose the best colors
